-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for patent disclosure:

- No one declared a patent.

AR Review:

- Mike and Moshiul draft a new section on correlation
  - Done

- Mike discuss plans to review IBIS Accuracy Handbook at next Open Forum
  - Done
  - No feedback was given at the time.

- Mike look into MeetingPlace issues
  - Mike will test WebEx internally first

- Mike propose IBISCHK bug for 5.5.6
  - This is check 5.5.3 now:
    - 5.5.3. {LEVEL 3} [Ramp] dV consistent with supply voltages
  - Bob: There will be bug fixes after IBISCHK5 is done
    - We should start this now

New items:

We reviewed changes made in IQ specification draft 1.1an:
- Mike read the new section 7 as written
- David: We should not specify file formats
- Bob: Maybe we should mention the "G" designator here
- Anders: Yes, we should recommend golden waveforms.
- Mike: No production tool yet exists to produce golden waveforms.
- Bob: Simulator tools should autogenerate circuits and test models
- We approved the new section 7.

We reviewed section 8:
- 8. Model Limitations and Model Maker Notes
- Mike: This section could be removed.
  - Not sure who wrote it
- Moshiul: There are known limitations
- Mike: What does this sentence mean?
"For example, this may be a specific version of spice that supports an
advanced feature utilized in the IBIS model (i.e. On Die Termination)."
  - Pavani: Maybe some IBIS keywords are not implemented by some IBIS simulators
  - Anders: This is about simulator limitations, not model limitations.
  - Bob: Most tools will not handle [Series Mosfet] well, for example
    - These can cause trouble for some simulators even when implemented
  - Mike: These may be historical problems.
- Bob: [Submodel] use should be documented.

We discussed where to require documentation of known limitations:
- Mike: This should be in section 1 or 2
- Bob: Is the IQ Summary actually put in the IBIS file by anyone?
  - Moshiul: Micron now puts this in an external file
  - Bob: This makes the file quite long, anyway

AR: Mike: Add documentation requirements to section 1 and/or 2

A finalized IQ document version should be sent out for editorial review.
- Bob: Need to check for correct keywords, consistent spelling, etc.
  - Send out after next meeting.

Next meeting: 14 Apr 2009 11-12 AM EST (8-9 AM PST)

Meeting ended at 12:17 PM Eastern Time.
